Genarlow Wilson v The State of Georgia

The Georgia State Supreme Court is hearing this case as of this morning at 10:00. I wait with bated breath to see if common sense will prevail.

Genarlow Wilson was 17 when he was convicted of aggravated child molestation of a 15 year old girl after engaging in a consensual sex act. WTH? Yes, getting blown in the state of Georgia can land you in jail. Well, it isn't that simple, but you get the point.

Stupid is as Stupid Does

I'm sure you've heard by now that Mike Vick of the Atlanta Falcons has been indicted in VA surrounding the dog fighting ring. If the allegations are proven to be true, Vick could face actual jail time. What was he thinking?

I'm no fanatical animal lover, I despise PETA and it's tactics, I can't related to those who allow their pets to sleep in their beds, and I think you're one nasty-arse if you let your dog lick you in the face...Blech!! However, I do draw the line and being cruel to another living being whether that is a human or animal. Pitting a dog against another to fight is cruel. According to reports, if the dog didn't die in the fight, Vick's crew would dispose of the animal by shooting it, slamming it against the ground, or by drowning it. It takes a heartless soul to do this to another living creature.

Mike Vick, you have no soul and you lack any resemblance of common sense.

If you thought you were tired of his detractors' and critics' saying he was overrated and it was time for the Falcons to get rid of him, brace yourself for a long, long football season.
